Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Government Officials of Naschitti Elementary Students;
Ya’ateeh! We at Naschitti Elementary School would like to welcome you and your child to a new academic year 2018 – 2019. It has been a great start to a new school year based on seeing new and continuing students in each grade level. These students are part of our purpose for teaching them the best instructional practices that we find appropriate for their learning and teaching. With that, we look forward to working with your child by instilling in them 21st Century Learning Skills (Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Creativity) that mirrors the federal, state and local assessments.
In doing so, we have collaborated before the beginning of the new school year on meaningful ways to teach your child to become successful learners in reading, writing, mathematics, and other content areas. The data indicates student gains in their respective grade levels in mathematics, reading, and writing as measured by quarterly assessments, common formative assessments, iStation, and PARCC for the 2017-2018 school year.
This year, we will focus our teaching on providing instructional strategies that personalizes student academic plans by employing flexible grouping, test talks, and after school tutoring, to mention a few.
In meeting the needs of our students, academically and emotionally, we look forward to working in partnership with you and the community to ensure student success in their academic learning. We are available to address any additional support that you find relevant to your child to assist with their learning capabilities. We are open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on school days or by prior advanced notice.
Once again, we thank you for being a part of Naschitti Elementary School.
